Our Story
Coffee, the Kurdish way.
Newroz opened in the spring of 2023, in a quiet corner of the KRO neighbourhood. We named it after the new year — a moment of light, of returning, of beginnings.
We roast in small batches, using beans from Ethiopia, Colombia, and the highlands of Yemen. Alongside, we still pour the qehwe our grandmothers brewed: thick, cardamom-warmed, served with a date.
